The
DSPMT Merge Utility should only be used once,
at the start of the NID Electronic Submittal Workflow process.
It's purpose is to allow the user to import a
local inventory of dams. Your local inventory should be imported if
you want to use the DSPMT
as your day-to-day management tool.
Your local inventory should also be imported so the database can be used
as the initial input data set to the NID Electronic Submittal Workflow.
The DSPMT Merge Utility
provides database manipulation utility tools which may be necessary for
importing a State or Federal Agency's local database information into the DSPMT.
These merge utilities include capabilities for converting field values in place,
merging linked fields into the main database table, merging in coded field
values, concatenating selected fields into a single field, etc.
